Students learn about the Port of Recife in practice

During the month of May students of technical and superior courses visited the Port of Recife in order to know the operation of both the operational part of loading and unloading of cargo and the activities related to the tourist sector of the Maritime Passenger Terminal (TMP). The groups were accompanied by professionals from the area of operations or work safety.
The first visit took place on the 17th, with students from the TCE Alcides do Nascimento. The class, with about 30 students from the Logistics course, participated in a lecture on the processes related to maritime transport with the operations coordinator of Recife Joaquim Teles Port. Then the group went on a visit to the quayside, detailing the movements of freighters at the berth.
Also in the same month, a group of students of the course of Tourism of the Federal University of Pernambuco was able to know the internal structure of the TMP. The location is the circulation point for thousands of tourists throughout the cruise season, which occurs annually. The students were accompanied by Professor Sérgio Leal, in order to better understand the discipline Transportation System.
The Port of Recife regularly receives visits from educational institutions, such as Technical Grade, IFPE, among others.
