The Port of Recife will have a weekly meeting to assess and monitor the dredging bidding process for the terminal. The president, Marconi Muzzio, in a meeting with the team this Tuesday (23/03), defined weekly monitoring as a priority, with the objective of creating goals and thus acting more efficiently.
Currently, the notice is in the DNIT of Brasília, under analysis for the transfer of funds, in the amount of R $ 28,387,413.54, to be authorized. After the release, the Port of Recife has 60 days to bid on the work, which is expected to last two and a half months.
Dredging, which has already been authorized by the CPRH (State Environmental Agency), is the service for unblocking and clearing the berths, access channels and evolution basins, carried out in ports. The objective is to establish a satisfactory depth for the Port of Recife, thus facilitating navigation and the arrival of larger tonnage vessels. The work is also an important step towards attracting investments to the anchorage, one of the pillars of the new management.
The tender calls for the removal of a volume of 832,208 m³ of sediment from the berth, internal channel and evolution basin.
