As of today, it is in practice more a socio-environmental action of the Port of Recife. The Environmental Management will join forces with the Pernambuco Cancer Hospital (HCP) and together will protect the environment and raise funds for the hospital.
This action is putting in every room of the administration of Porto a collecting box. The first step starts with it, the box must put all materials can be recycled, noting that not all types of paper will serve for this purpose. Greasy food or rest papers are not suitable for recycling, but newspapers, magazines and draft papers can be availed. For recycling happen disposal should be done properly, do not crumple the paper, the most advisable is to tear into small pieces and place in the collector.
All the money raised from the paper stored in collection boxes will be passed on to the HCP. With the resources acquired by recycling the hospital can buy food and medicine for use in the treatment of cancer patients. Olavo de Andrade Lima, Chief Executive Officer of the Port of Recife, comments that "this is a super practical, as well as preserving the environment, reduces waste generation and also help the hospital in the mission to assist patients fighting cancer."

Greasy paper, carbon paper, cellophane, parchment paper, fax paper, tarpaulins, plastic coated or laminated paper, toilet paper, paper towels, napkins, photographs, tapes or adhesive labels, coated paper with some sort of wax or silicone and tracing paper .
