Olavo de Andrade Lima, president of the Port of Recife, participate of the second working meeting with the Chief Minister of the Ports Secretariat, Hélder Barbalho, the Secretary of Economic Development of the State of Pernambuco and president of the Port Complex of Suape, Thiago Norões, and the 24 presidents of the Companies docks and ports of delegates from all over Brazil.

The industry's first meeting - which took place last November 30 in Brasilia, in the Secretariat of Ports - the Port of Suape was willing to receive this second meeting. During today's agenda, Hélder Barbalho, Thiago Norões and Olavo de Andrade Lima talked to the press about the port leases package of 21 terminals in Brazil, which foresees an investment of R $ 7.2 billion for the sector. The President of the Port of Recife emphasized that dredging and strengthening of the pier is a priority for the full functioning of Recife berth. "If within the National Development Plan we manage to carry out dredging - which is key to cargo handling - and the strengthening of the pier to meet the cruise ships, the Port of Recife will operate at 100% capacity." The third round segment discussion is scheduled for March 10 at the Port of Santos in São Paulo.
