Intense movement of trucks and a work together mobilizing professionals of the area of operations and environment. This scenario composes the first exportation of petroleum coke made by the Port do Recife. There are 30 thousand tons that go in cabotage to the Southeast. The cargo, which came from the Abreu e Lima refinery, is used as an energy matrix and can replace coal as fuel.

The Port do Recife had already had contact with the petroleum coke, but always working before with import. This export is a test operation and has been carried out for a period of approximately one month, from the time of arrival of the coke for storage in the yard to the embarkation work on the ship. The freighter responsible for moving the cargo is Gail, a Liberian flag.

In the environmental issue, the product needs to take into account some precautions, especially regarding the emission of particles. The environmental team stresses the importance of the product being always wet, so car-kites constantly pass through the dock area and also wet the tires of the trucks, so that they do not spread waste on the ground.

Of the total cargo, more than 90% have already been placed on the ship, and this week the operation must be completed.
